A legacy of leadership, community, and care, carried forward to support cancer survivors every step of the way.
To provide compassionate, whole-person support that helps individuals rebuild strength, improve their health, and live well during and after cancer treatment.
To deliver meaningful, whole-person support that helps individuals rebuild strength and improve quality of life during and after cancer treatment, while ensuring access through scholarship support.
A community where no one faces cancer alone, and every individual has the support needed to rebuild strength and live well.
Crocus exists to provide meaningful, whole-person support, and ensure people can access it.
We meet individuals with empathy, understanding, and respect at every stage of their experience.
We believe health involves exercise, nutrition, and emotional well-being — not just one aspect of care.
We support individuals in a way that preserves independence, confidence, and self-worth.
We are committed to removing barriers so individuals can receive the support they need.
We foster connection, support, and a sense that no one has to go through this alone.
We focus on meaningful, measurable support that improves quality of life.
The Crocus Foundation was inspired by the life of J. Bruce Meriwether, whose leadership was rooted in courage, conviction, and a deep commitment to community.
During his own journey with cancer, Bruce experienced the impact of a monitored exercise program, improving not only his physical strength, but his mindset and overall well-being.
It reinforced what he had always believed:movement builds strength, positivity builds resilience, and staying engaged with life matters.
That experience became the foundation for Crocus.
Today, Crocus Foundation supports cancer survivors through exercise-based rehabilitation, lifestyle support, and scholarships that remove financial barriers.
Every program is designed to help individuals rebuild strength, restore confidence, and continue moving forward after treatment.
The Crocus foundation exists to strengthen individuals, and the community around them.
It’s the belief that when we show up for one another, when we support, encourage, and care, we create something stronger than ourselves.
That belief continues to guide everything we do.
